Company history
George Boudin started his business career in the mid 1920's. A keen motorcyclist, he rode for a Norton works team, he turned his hobby into his job.
When the war ended, the new prosperity of the fifties opened an almost insatiable demand for bicycles and motor bikes.
The premises in Bath Street grew and grew, eventually stretching between Bath Street and Halkett Street.
When George retired In 1976, the Bath Street premises were sold and our present premises at Sand Street opened.
Since the 1980s, cycling has seen a huge revival, either as a cheap way to commute, a sport or a family pastime.
Bikes have never been easier to ride. Nowadays gears click into place ever time, brakes are powerful and nearly every bike has an aluminium frame.
